real value function 𝑓 is unimodal on [𝑎,𝑏] if there is unique 𝑥∗ such that 𝑓(𝑥∗) is minimum of 𝑓 on [𝑎,𝑏] and 𝑓 is strictly decreasing for 𝑥≤𝑥∗ and strictly increasing for 𝑥≥𝑥∗.
